The independent existence of the urban form; The myth of the «old city» as a «homogeneous form» | Alireza Khadem

The urban form as an integrated and homogeneous totality has a mythical place in architecture and urbanization discipline rhetoric. Also, it has a unique position in our now and here dialogue. Regardless of the origin of form as an idea and conditions of its regeneration, in confronting the urban phenomenon (content), one can find a morphological-kind of bias that uses the form as a mediator.

تصور فرم شهر به‌مثابۀ کلیتی منسجم و همگن جایگاهی ویژه و تا حدی اُسطوره‌ای در نظام زبانی دیسیپلین معماری و شهرسازی ما و در موقعیت اینجا و اکنون دارد. فارغ از منشأ پیدایش این ایده و شرایط بسط و بازتولید آن در وضعیت حال، رگه‌هایی از نوعی جهت‌گیری ریخت-گونه‌شناسانه به چشم می‌خورد که در مواجهه با پدیدۀ شهر (محتوا)، از فرم، به‌‌مثابۀ نوعی میانجی استفاده می‌کند.
