By taking urban design seriously, it is inevitable to concern the formal process of urban creation and the cultural and subjective dimensions of the city. In addition, we can take giant leaps toward social and cultural democracy through design, materials and resources, space syntax, and reducing urban encounters.

اگر بتوانیم مسئلۀ طراحی شهری را جدی بگیریم، نه‌فقط در روند شکل‌گیری مادی، بلکه می‌توانیم در روند شکل‌گیری فرهنگی و ذهنی شهر دخالت کنیم. همچنین می‌توان از طریق طراحی، استفاده از مواد و مصالح، چیدمان و کاهش فاصلۀ شهری گام‌های بزرگی به‌سوی دموکراسی اجتماعی و فرهنگی برداشت.
