The phenomenon of apartment life in Tehran as a mega city has flourished since 40s, but being the capital city of Iran, concentration of government in Tehran, establishing important economic and financial zone, job opportunities are among other reasons of apartment life crisis in Tehran.

پدیدۀ آپارتمان‌نشینی در کلان‌شهر تهران از دهۀ ۴۰ رونق گرفت؛ اما عنوان پایتختی و حضور هیئت‌حاکمه در این شهر، ایجاد مراکز مهم اقتصادی، بانکی و فراوانی زمینه‌های اشتغال از عمده دلایلی است که مشکلات آپارتمان‌نشینی در تهران را پدید آورده است.
