The modern city has formalized and commodified urban spaces by functional separation and prioritizing automobiles. So that deprived pedestrians, children, and other marginalized groups of creative, nonfunctional, and playful opportunities. This article attempts to define playing to show the difference between playing, games, and sport, to redefine the concept, and provide an opportunity for playful spaces in the city.

شهر مدرن با کارکردی و کالایی کردن فضاهای شهری امکان فرصت‌های خلاق، آزاد، غیر کارکردی و بازیگوشانه را با تفکیک عملکردی و میدان دادن به ماشین‌ها از عابران و کودکان و دیگر گروه‌های فرودست گرفته است. هدف، مروری بر تعریف بازی و تفاوت آن با گیم و ورزش است که از این طریق بتوان به اهمیت بازاندیشی این مفهوم و ایجاد فضاهای بازیگوشانه در شهرها پرداخت.
