Public space, lost time | Interview with Taraneh Yalda 

In this interview, Taraneh Yalda explains we need a city beautification movement and such change of state is inevitable. In addition, she makes it clear that the construction of public spaces with permanent missions is inevitable to provide, not occasional but regular opportunities for people to observe and participate in all range of urban events. She says we need to enable people for better civic engagements and describes to us why Megamalls are not resort areas and not a good place for jollification.

شهرها باید کمی پیرایش شوند. فضاهایی عمومی ایجاد شوند که به‌طور دائم و نه مناسبتی، امکان حضور مردم به‌منظور مشاهدۀ رویدادهای مختلف و همچنین تعامل شهروندان با یکدیگر در آن‌ها وجود داشته باشد. مال‌ها فضای عمومی مناسبی برای تفریح نیستند.
